In 2009 "Lux Invest Ltd. completed two big projects as part of the Operational Program "Regional Development", financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the state budget of the Republic of Bulgaria.
Subject to the construction project were two of the largest schools in the town of Gabrovo – the first – the School of Natural science and Mathematics - Academician Ivan Gyuzelev and the second – the Secondary School Raicho Karolev, in which were constructed a ramp, an elevator and a sanitary area, designed for the disabled; also a completely renovated gym complex including a complete renovation of the swimming pool and the gym, along with the adjacent premises (new facilities for water purification, heating and air conditioning systems, anti-fog and also air conditioning systems, solar collectors, lighting furnishing, tiling, flooring and other finishing works.
The old windows and frames were entirely replaced with aluminum ones; thermo insulation were applied on the facade walls, as well as new insulation of the whole roof, and all the sanitary areas were refurbished.
All the classrooms and study rooms were re-painted and new doors were installed. Also a new lightning protector and a lightning detector with integrated warning system were installed.
The sports grounds were renovated by applying asphalt pavement and asphalt macadam, the handball and athletics tracks were renewed by installation of artificial coverings, and so was the tennis ground.
